PROGRAMS

TELEMARK CLINICS - All day or half day group or private lessons to tune up your skiing or take it to the next level. Learn drills and tips to ski the terrain you have always wanted to or just smooth out your turns.

FREERIDE CLINICS - An all encompassing course designed to push your skiing to new levels. We traditionally spend some time in the terrain park working on our air sense, then we take it to the steeps looking for challenging terrain and small cliffs. The clinic is always catered to clients goals and skiing abilities.

PARK CLINICS - Balance is a major aspect of telemark skiing which is rarely challenged more than in the park. Learn to take air or slide rails like the pros and improve your skiing and comfort on your skis. Depending on the group we can spend all day working on small jumps in the little park or nailing that true tail 720 in the big park.

After years as a professional telemark skier, I have traveled all over the US and the world and still love coming home to Tahoe. I have realized over the last nine years living here how vast a playground we have right in our back yard. It is my goal, guiding and instructing with Alpine Skills International, to share that with others. I have been telemark skiing for 25 years, have been teaching for 12 years, and have been a PSIA Level 3 instructor for 10 years.

SUGAR BOWL “SIDECOUNTRY” (In and out of bounds) - Come find out why Sugar Bowl continues to be my favorite place to ski. Days after the last powder stash has been schralped in bounds there are plenty of fresh turns waiting on just the other side of the rope. With avalanche safety a primary goal, we explore Anderson Ridge, Mt Judah off the back, the ASI run, and the infamous Lake Run getting the most turns for our efforts by working in and out of bounds. Some groups choose to use skins and backcountry gear to get around while with others I set the short boot packs to get us back to the resort using the lifts to our advantage.
